Hindu council U.K. are deeply concerned with the acts of violence in Leicester over the weekend. We condemn damages to Hindu temples which are a place of worship and should not be disrespected.

We call upon the Hindu community to work with the authorities to bring calm and peace as Leicester is renowned for its cultural diversity , unity and community cohesion. HCUK will work with authority to develop strategies to develop greater understanding and stronger inter community relations and we call for the necessary resources to be made available to support this work.
